Families First is Hiring a Respite Provider Near Brattleboro, VT
Families First is a non-profit organization committed to building meaningful lives for youth and adults with disabilities.
Families First in Brattleboro, VT is seeking to identify respite providers who would be expected to care for an individual in your home. This can be for one weekend per month or more, hourly, and/or daily. Knowledge of American Sign Language, CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required. Comfort with providing personal/hygiene related care and behavioral support is highly encouraged.
- Respite hourly range $14 -$23 an hour
- Respite Overnight range (24hrs) $200-$250
Candidates for this position must have a lockable spare bedroom in their home, and be able to pass a background check. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with people with disabilities, promoting independent living skills, and practicing patience.
*Please note: Families First does not directly hire applicants for Respite. The information collected is then passed on to families and caregivers of advocates that utilize Families First services. The guardian, family, and/or service coordinator of the advocate is responsible for moving forward with interviews and hiring. As such, Families First cannot extend benefits or training to respite applicants.
